This is a lovely example of a Sterling Silver ‘Bachelor’s Button’ accessory.
Designed as an emergency replacement button to be carried at all times, these fit neatly into the label button hole on a gentleman’s waistcoat or jacket until needed. A perfect addition to add a touch of glam and class to your vintage outfit.
The spring and clip mechanism is made from brass, and it is marked to the rear with ‘WESTS PATENT’ and a Rising Sun engraving which indicates it was made by George West.
