Glitzy Vintage Jewellery Midlands was founded by Clara and Kyle in 2020.

We were inspired by the success of Clara’s mum, Norma, who has been running ‘Glitzy Vintage Jewellery‘ in Devon and the South West since 2012.

Clara shares Norma’s passion for jewellery and adds to it her seemingly endless enthusiasm for History. She particularly loves the personal stories that can be discovered. Clara takes a great amount of joy in sharing this knowledge. So, beware, if you visit us at a market you may end up receiving an education!

Kyle shares this interest in History, though to a slightly lesser extent. He is learning about the history of jewellery as Glitzy Vintage Jewellery Midlands develops. All this learning is helping him to gain an appreciation for jewellery at the same time. For now Clara mostly uses him to assist in the restoration work; and as company chauffeur.

Clara has also started writing some articles over on our blog where she is sharing her knowledge and research results. Recent examples are articles on Mourning Jewellery and Queen Elizabeth II’s Jewellery Collection. Kyle has learnt a lot from proofreading and publishing those!
