Today’s #FeaturedFriday piece is a classic 1920s Delft brooch, featuring a painting of a traditional Dutch windmill.
Ceramic jewellery has always been popular but none is quite as well known as the Dutch made Delftware. It has been made in Delft, Holland for at least the last 400 years with jewellery pieces mounted in local silver. Each piece features a dutch scene, hand painted in blue on white ceramic.
This 1920s brooch features a painting of a traditional Dutch windmill and then mounted in a silver filigree setting.
This brooch has now sold, but pop along to a market to see what other Delft pieces we have in stock.
