Today’s #FridayFinds is is all about this amazing Georgian flat-cut garnet necklace.
This style of flat-cut garnet was particularly popular in the 1820’s, when this piece originally dates from. We believe that the double sided photo locket in the centre is a later addition, likely in the 1930’s, replacing an original brooch fitting.
We really love all the minor details around this piece – including the original clasp featuring another flat-cut garnet.
This necklace may be for sale, pop along to a market to discuss with Clara & see what other Georgian pieces we have in stock.
