This is a lovely 1960’s/1970’s re-interpretation of Victorian Mizpah jewellery.
The Mizpah coin is made from sterling silver and measures 1.7cm in diameter.
The coin features the word ‘Mizpah’ alongside the traditional bible quote Genesis 31:49 “May the LORD keep watch between you and me when we are absent from each other”. For more details about the history of Mizpah in jewellery check out our blog.
It has been separated into its two halves by a previous owner and comes supplied as two intact necklaces on 16″ sterling silver chains.
The pendant measures 2.4cm in diameter.
