This is an incredible piece of vintage Mexican Silver & natural Turquoise jewellery.
Made from 950 purity silver, and set with beautifully cut and polished turquoise this necklace dates from the early 1980’s shortly after the introduction of the modern Mexican Silver Marking standards. It was made in the city of Taxco famous for its traditional silversmiths and the centre of Mexican jewellery making.
It is fully marked to the legal standards of Mexico with the ‘MEX’, ‘950’ and ‘TJ-68’ (makers) mark.
The necklace measures 17 inches in length, and weighs in at a whopping 75.55 grams.
