WW2 ‘Remembrance Of Florence’ Panel Bracelet

This is an incredible item of WW2 Trench Art jewellery, a brass & enamel panel bracelet inscribed with the wording ‘Remembrance Of Florence’.

The panels are highly detailed, showing (from left to right):
1. Florence ‘Fleur-de-lis’ crest
2. USA & British Royal Navy crossed flags
3. USA Flag (enamelled)
4. Coat of Arms of the Duchy of Florence
5. Flag of the United Provinces of Central Italy (enamelled)
6. Scene of The Duomo & Campanile
7. UK flag (enamelled)
8. Wording ‘Remembrance Of Florence’
9. Florence ‘Fleur-de-lis’ crest

The bracelet measures just under 8 inches in circumference.

This likely dates to the later years of the war, after the liberation of Florence between the 4th & 11th August 1944 by British, New Zealand and South African troops assisted by the partisans of the CTLN.
