On Sunday 3rd June we were privileged to be able to join the first ever Warwick Vintage Carnival. Hosted by CJ’s Events Warwickshire this incredible event took over the whole of Warwick Town Centre.
The day started out great, with beautiful blue skies as we arrived in Warwick. We were super lucky to be positioned in the market square with a view of the main stage right from our stall.
As we were setting up the stall we got to enjoy watching the classic cars begin to arrive. From the pre-war British Standard Big 9, to American muscle cars & hot rods there were cars that we both loved arriving all the time.
At 10am the event kicked off with some incredible dancing from the Warwickshire Rock and Rollers. Sadly we didn’t have enough space behind our stall to join in, but loved watching them in action.
Not long afterward Clara took the opportunity to have her hair styled professionally by the on-site team from Le Keux Vintage Salon. She is still over the moon with how it came out – refusing to take it out even to sleep!
The UK summer tried to slow things down with a rather heavy rain shower around lunch time. Thank you to everyone who accepted this in good humour and stuck around to keep the party going throughout the afternoon. Once the sun was back out we were treated to a wonderful performance from the highly talented Miss Franny De Light.
