Gold-Fronted Bachelor Button

This is a lovely example of a antique ‘Bachelor’s Button’ accessory.
Designed as an emergency replacement button to be carried at all times, these fit neatly into the label button hole on a gentleman’s waistcoat or jacket until needed. A perfect addition to add a touch of glam and class to your vintage outfit.

The rear and clip mechanism is made from brass, and it is marked to the rear with ‘PROTECTED G.E.W. & Co’ which we believe to be a makers mark, though sadly we have been unable to identify them in any further detail.
