This is a great example of an early WW2 Royal Armoured Corps sweetheart brooch in near perfect condition.
The brooch features the original cap badge design with the initials ‘RAC’ surrounded by the laurel leaves
The Royal Armoured Corps were formed in 1939 by merging a loose association of armoured regiments, both the Royal Tank Regiment and those converted from old horse cavalry regiments. They have served in every theatre and conflict from the Second World War through to today.
The brooch measures 4.2cm wide and 2.1cm tall.
