This is a lovely example of a French Edwardian era cameo. The cameo is carved from real shell and set into an 800 grade silver filigree mount with trombone clasp.
It is marked ‘800’ to the rear, and also features a well worn makers mark.
The brooch measures 4cm tall by 3.5cm wide.
